Loved Manitou Lodge
Location was perfect and adjacent to a long walking trail along the creek which we walked one day. Short walk to the gondola and chairlift (two blocks). Kaylee was very helpful and made fresh cookies and breakfast each day. Retta was wonderful answering our questions and registering our car to park in town. We stayed in a two-queen bed room which was perfect. The kitchen and lounge across the hall was perfect for relaxing, reading, and eating. Wonderful lodge and would stay here again next time we come to Telluride!

Classic Inn Experience

The Manitou Lodge was perfect for our ski trip! The room was very cute, robes were comfy, and it was so great having the kitchen/game room so we could make dinner one night. Having access codes for the front door, room, and hot tub made it super convenient for our group to do different activities throughout the day without having to keep track of or coordinate keys. But Retta was really the best part of our stay! She made a delicious continental breakfast each morning, had awesome recommendations for activities for our non-skiers, and was always super friendly and helpful. The Manitou Lodge is beautiful and is super close to the gondola and lift 8; can't recommend it highly enough!

Greta our Inn Keeper was great! Room was clean. Breakfast was good. My only recommendation would me to eliminate the large entertainment hutch, and mount flatscreen on wall - that would give the room a little more space. Heck, I would be ok without a TV all together, as most people are there for the outdoors.

Only reasonably priced accomodation in Telluride
Loved the super location and close proximity to everything. Windows need screens - especially since this a first floor location and to keep any bugs out. Not able to get regular TV channels because we do not have a cable signin. Parking was a problem. Waited until the day crowd left and moved car to unload and then get a parking space until later in the day. Initially parked in Town Park and walked to check everything out. Also wish we'd known about the town shuttles in advance. After parked, we left car there for 2 days so that worked well. Enjoyed the stay and liked having a full kitchen available. Given the other options in Telluride, I am very pleased with our stay.

The best thing about this rental was THE BEDS. Made of memory foam. We slept wonderfully every night. The lodge is old, so there are creaky and noisy floors. There are no screens on the windows, which would be nice to keep our the insects when we wanted fresh air in the room. Across the hall is a communal kitchen/dining room. Havinf access to an ice bucket in our room would have been helpful. The parking situation in Telluride leaves much to be desired. We did not realuze this until we arrived. There was no real info given to us beforehand. When we got into the room, there was a oarking hang tag and a small map with an area colored in blue where we could park. We lucked out and were able to talk with an Alpine Lodging emoloyee who was just leavinf, so we grabbed his parking spot. We were able to carry our luggage only a short dustance to the room. Otherwise, it could have been blocks. Finding any parking spot in the blue zone was nigh impossible.

Exceeded Expectations
I didn't really know what to expect from Manitou Lodge, I just knew I wanted to stay close to the Telluride Horror Show theaters. We arrived in the morning and were given an early check-in, we went to the room and it was so cozy and clean. We were impressed with the amenities. The hot tub was EXCELLENT especially after a day of sitting in theaters watching movies. The best thing was waking up to the smell of baked goods coming from the kitchen. We didn't realize that there would be breakfast each morning and we were so glad that was included. The little kitchen area led to lots of great conversation and great food. Every staff member we talked to was also fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely try to stay here again next year.

Great place to stay!
Manitou Lodge is very nice! Joan the on site manager was extremely helpful in assisting us when we unexpectedly had to extend our stay. Highly recommend this property.

We do not understand this request
WE were very impressed with the lodge until an event on sunday morning affected us significantly. Our son, Rowan Blaisdell, who was in #6 had left his favorite medium weight jacket in the breakfast room after breakfast where we had been chatting before heading out for another walk. He went upstairs for a short time and we went back to our room for a rest.When we left our room less than an hour later his jacket which he had left on the back of a chair at the table was no where to be found. There were no other guests in the lodge this late in the morning and we had observed a housekeeping woman on the first floor immediately after we left the breakfast room. We spoke with Patty and she checked with the staff and found no jacket. This event was very disturbing to the four of us and made us question the reliability and security of Alpine Lodging This will certainly effect any future trips to Telluride. We hope Alpine Lodging will compensate our son for this disgraceful, unacceptable theft.

Thank you for the review of Manitou Lodge #2. We’re glad you were impressed with the lodge and appreciate you staying with us. We apologize your son lost his jacket and wish it could’ve been found as soon as it was reported. We’ve notified the Manitou Lodge property manager, as well as the Manager of Housekeeping to be on the lookout for the grey jacket. With that, your accusation of theft is a baseless claim. We have managed the Manitou Lodge for the past 15 years and have never had an employee accused of theft. We do not accept responsibility for your son leaving his jacket in a public space, and we fully reject any accusation that it was theft by a staff member.

Room wasn't ready until almost 4:30 pm. We checked in at office at 11:00 am that morning. Room took until 8:30 pm to cool off. Never again!
