Manitou Lodge 4
I loved my stay and Reta was so awesome and welcoming. I ended up extending my stay by a day and would definitely come back. I have been to Telluride many times throughout my life since I grew up pretty close by, but have always crashed with friends. This was my first Telluride lodge experience and I felt really taken care of. I really appreciate the community shared space, daily breakfast, and the access to the river trail and ski lift. The room was set up really nicely and was a great sanctuary away from home for a while.

From great to greater
I'm going to subdue my review to keep it from spiking prices. The place is what it is....nice place in a phenomenal location. The place is not very soundproof, so don't bring your kids.. They said, Rhetta and staff bring the experience to the next level of charm and customer service. Not even considering another location for my trip next year. So stay away so I can get my same room again.

We've attended the Telluride Film Festival for 12 years. The first few years we stayed at the ICE House. We loved the location, as it enabled us to be close to screenings, restaurants and the market. It was in town, but at its quiet edge, with a soothing stream. When the Ice House changed management, Alpine guided us to the nearby Manitou Lodge, which fit our desires perfectly. We feel lucky to have the room. The Alpine staff has been superb, from its office coverage to the pride of taking care of the rooms, as well as the maintenance of the charming breakfast room. Bravo and many thanks. See you next year....

Awesome Stay
Our stay in Telluride was nothing short of incredible, mostly due to our accommodations at the Manitou Lodge. We love the original charm of the building. Our room was well equipped and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The common lounge area was idealistic, complete with breakfast, comfortable seating options which allowed conversation with other guests, and multiple other amenities. The deck is a lovely place to relax and listen to the river. The Inn Keeper, Retta, kept in contact with us both prior to our arrival as well as the duration of our stay. She made sure our needs were met and then some! She is increíble! Although we were concerned the parking would be a problem, we didn’t have any issues finding a spot close by. We love are already looking forward to our next trip to Telluride and the Manitou Lodge!

Pleasant Little Gem
Our room was ready early. The furnishings are dated but the everything was clean. The beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the shared spaces, especially the deck overlooking the river. You cannot beat the central location or the hospitality of the innkeeper.

Location and accommodation is superb.
COMPLAINT: The constant sound of what seemed to be a jacuzzi from the unit above (#7?) was very bothersome, particularly when it was after midnight. I don't know if it was actually coming from outside, as it was loudest in our bathroom. It was as if we were in a washing machine. This was our 4th year at Manitou and the first year that we heard it. NOTE: The sink has a crack in the bowl and is rather stopped up.

Great value, location and service
Depending on what your needs are for your vaca, this lodging may be an answered prayer. Location is great being near the main strip and just a short walk away from the free gondola to Mountain Village, and near the Bear creek falls start.There is a very hot hot tub available to guests. Customer service was great, even checking with us to see that we got checked in ok.Though not the most luxurious lodging, it had what we needed and we loved the location. Parking created some anxiety for us upon arrival as parking is on the street and very limited. If on arrival you dont see something nearby the entry walk to the lodge then just temporarily park in the unloading area right in front of the entry walk and from your room grab your parking permit so you can then go get parked after unloading. After parking we just kept it parked as we could get to our desired attractions by walking and gondola. So it'd be nice if parking options could be expanded, but space in Telluride is pretty tight. We had an amazing time at Telluride and Alpine Lodging and Manitou Lodge made it possible.

Very convenient
Lodge was clean and very convenient to town and the gondola. There is no AC and only one window opened so it was stuffy at night, there was a box fan in the room that needs to be replaced due to excessive vibration. Parking was a pain. This is a first floor unit and it sounded as if kids were jumping off the beds in the room above us at night. Overall it was fine and just used as a crash pad, I would stay here again for the convenience to town and the gondola.

Air conditioning is not widely available in Telluride, but when you return for another visit, we would be happy to assist you in selecting an accommodation that does offer it. We regret any inconvenience with parking, we do provide passes to our guests, but it is first-come, first-served close to the Lodge. This property needs an upgrade! The shower was broken, so no shower for us.
