The Mountainside Inn is located along the San Miguel River in the heart of Telluride. It is comprised of four separate buildings, all of which are two floors with stair access (no elevators).
This hotel room has a king bed. The room has a flat-screen TV with satellite, mini-fridge, small microwave, fan and humidifier. The private bathroom has a shower (no tub) and a hairdryer. This room faces the San Miguel River.
Complimentary wifi is included. A well-stocked vending machine and coin-operated laundry are located on the property. There is no A/C at the Mountainside Inn.
The Mountainside Inn is just two blocks from the grocery store, and about a 10-minute walk from historic downtown Telluride. The river trail offers a delightful path through town, and the free in-town shuttle picks up about a 1/2-block from the Inn.

We loved this place!
We had the best stay at Alpine Lodge. It is in the perfect location. We were able to walk along the creek path to every place we wanted to go to in Telluride. It is only a block or two away from the Gondola. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. We used one of the hot tubs in the evening and it was really relaxing. There were also a grill you could use and comfortable seating areas outside. We truly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.- Karen M , Posted: 2/24/2026
Walkable location!
Positive: Loved the location of the property. We were only less than a 10 min walk to the centre of Telluride and the town was incredible. There’s also a regular bus that goes to and from the vicinity of the accommodation. Staff were all lovely, gave us trail routes and a map of best places to go. Good Location
Relatively inexpensive place in a very good location. Short walk to town and right along the river. Somewhat dated and the dryer was broken when we were there. Hot tubs are nice and great after walking around town and Mountain Village all day. We would stay here again.- Ian S , Posted: 2/23/2026

For $350 a day, the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired for. If it was a $100 a day motel room, yes. I can see the lackadaisical attitude of the quality of the room and front desk. Very nice location.
Very nice location. Close to town with a view of the river at a good cost. Very quite also. I was lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the river just outside my window. Convenient location
Comfortable accommodation with all we needed for our stay. Close to the centre of Telluride with a picturesque walk along the San Miguel River.
