Mountainside Inn 219

Music Festival Stay
Mountainside Inn is more of an economy hotel but is adequate for my needs and a great value for your money in Telluride. My room, 219, had rather spartan furnishings but faced the river and was very quiet. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in the room. There are more luxurious rooms and kitchenettes available at Mountainside Inn but I prefer having a nice view of the river and mountains. Employees have been very helpful in assisting me in finding a room for my 3 stays to date. The previous year, I booked a condo during a festival through Alpine/Mountainside. A couple of months before the very popular festival, the owner decided not to rent and I could have been left without a room. Shane helped me find another condo which was actually nicer at no extra charge.

The location is great, accommodations are fine. My only complaint is that in my room, the only comfortable place to sit was the bed. There were two hard, torturous wooden chairs, but no soft easy chair or anything like that. It's hard to think of a place as "comfortable" when there's only a place to lie down and nowhere to sit.

Extremely convenient location
We stayed during the bluegrass festival. It was an extremely convenient location. The room was very clean and large size. The river running by the window was spectacular. The reception hostess was very helpful and friendly.

clean, comfortable and good value
This lodging provided us with a clean and comfortable room that was quiet and had a nice view. The staff was very pleasant/helpful. Easy walking to anything we wanted to do.My only suggestion(and this is minor) is to have coffee available earlier that 0830.I would stay here again.

Being on the river is the sole redeeming quality
Internet is slow to the point it is essentially nonfunctional. The room smelled funky and I would guess the furnishings are circa 1980s. The hot tub was not operating. The parking situation needs to be figured out. Both isles of hotel permit parking in the auxiliary lot were full the night we checked in. If the hotel is going to lease parking spots in the auxiliary lot then those spots need to be marked for hotel parking only.
